Master of Fine Arts Program As a studio intensive program, the MFA at Memphis College of Art offers a catalytic environment with the goal of developing artistic practices that contribute significantly to contemporary culture. The program emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to artmaking in both traditional and new media. During the course of study, students are encouraged to consider the social, cultural, and physical context of their work as central to its interpretation. Graduate Studies in Art Education Memphis College of Art offers two graduate degree programs (MAT, MAArtEd) and three non-degree programs (Transitional Licensure, Add-On Endorsement and Plus 30 Semester Hours). These programs will explore opportunities for artists to work as educators in schools, museums, and community organizations. These fields of study combine studio practices with the intellectual and professional experiences necessary for furthering or starting a career as an art educator.
