Ms. Bishop’s poems have appeared in print journals such as Quarterly West, Greensboro Review, Crab Orchard Review, and Slant; and featured in web journals such as Exquisite Corpse, The Pedestal, and Verse Daily. Her ekphrastic poem, “Self Portrait with Monkeys” won a 2000 Intro Journals Award from Associated Writing Programs and her collection Shouldering Zero, has been a semi-finalist for such awards as the Kathryn A. Morton/Sarabande Prize. She is a contributor to the forthcoming Greenwood Encyclopedia of American Poetry.
