Susan Maakestad was a Resident Fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts in 2001 and Artist in Residence at the St. Croix Watershed Research Station in Minnesota in 2004. She has recently exhibited in a two-person show at the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art in Augusta, GA, and a solo show at Arkansas State University.
