Jill Wissmiller (Video Artist) describes her current creative work as a series of identity projects that focus on exaggerating the moments in one’s life that mark a shift in the definition of self. Her work explores how readily available self-transforming processes, from voodoo to biomedical enhancement technologies, impact women. Wissmiller’s video work has been screened in numerous festivals including Console-ing Passions: The International Conference of Feminism and Television, Film, Video and New Media. Wissmiller also creates interactive video designs for theater, and recently staged her work at the Julia De Burgos Art Center in NYC for the Danisarte's My World/Mi Mundo theatrical festival.
