Memphis College of Art Names Shawna Engel
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis College of Art announced that Shawna Engel has joined the college's administrative staff as vice president for college advancement. Engel will be responsible for all of the College's fundraising and advancement efforts, as well as working with her fellow administrators to continue to enhance MCA's reputation and relationships within the community and beyond.
Engel brings to MCA nearly 20 years of customer service, nonprofit development and academic administration experience. She most recently worked as senior director of development for the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where she was responsible for a $12 million capital campaign to relocate the law school to downtown Memphis. Previously, Engel held the positions of director of annual giving, director of alumni and admissions counselor for Christian Brothers University.
Engel has an MBA from Christian Brothers University, along with a BA in English for corporate communications with a minor in finance, also from Christian Brothers University.
