STUDENTS 16 AND OVER

Students 16 and older who are interested in any of the adult Continuing Education classes are encouraged to enroll. We know that young people in their late teens can be considered serious art students and want them to have the full benefit of our more challenging adult courses. We offer Continuing Education classes throughout the year. Most of the courses are held in the evenings—typically a more convenient time for working adults and older students. Occasionally, a class may have a minimum age limit because of equipment usage and liability issues. Other courses require signed parental consent.

During the summer, MCA sponsors a Pre-College Camp for high school students, where they enjoy the full college experience—living in the MCA dormitories and attending concentrated instructional sessions during the day—and can receive college credit.

In addition, the College offers a series of Advanced Placement classes in the spring and fall for high school students interested in expanding their high school art training and assembling a strong portfolio.
